Of course, if you manage to get through this first area without raising the alarm, he will never appear. When you see him start to load a cartridge of ammo in his weapon, take cover away from him and let him go wild until you here the shots stop, then pop out and hit him hard with a shotgun or magnum. Luckily, there is an explosive barrel to aid you in the middle of the camp, but all the laser turrets will make it hard to move around. Where the classic game had soldiers with miniguns, this Brute holds a rapid firing mini-crossbow that he will flood the area with making him very hard to tangle with. This will also herald the arrival of a Brute with a crazy weapon. If an enemy makes visual contact with you, or you run into the harsh beams of the two spotlights on top of the guard post, an alarm will sound. This area is much like the area before the Checkpoint in the Village - meaning if you’re spotted, you’ll have to face a lot more enemies.
